Surely, one of the many things that Christ accomplished by
His once-for-all sacrifice was the consecration of His church as a house of

▪Do our elders’ habits show that our congregation is a “house
of prayer”?
▪Do the habits of our households show that our congregation is a “house of
prayer”?
▪Does the place and proportion of prayer in our public worship show that our
congregation is a “house of prayer”?
▪Does the ordinary response to present distresses or deliverances show that our
congregation is a “house of prayer”?
▪Does the place (or existence—Lord have mercy!) of the prayer meeting in
congregational life show that our congregation is a “house of prayer”?
▪Does the attendance at the prayer meeting show that our congregation is a “house
of prayer”?
▪Does the earnestness of the prayer meeting prayers show that our congregation
is a “house of prayer”?
